Brief Bio:
The 2006 Olympic pairs champion with her husband, Alice has now fled the competitive scene without any regrets. Though born in England, she was raised in Edinburgh, Scotland and started skating there at the age of six. She switched to pairs at the tender age of twelve because she just wasn't a very good jumper, and she was partnered up with thirteen year old Christian Dwight from Aberdeen who she did not want to skate with due to the fact that he was too damn shy. Soon enough at the age of fifteen she had a World Junior medal to show for their efforts, and slowly but surely rose in the international rankings. They moved to Oceanside originally in the summer of 2003 to avoid the horrible conditions of funding and facilities in the UK. They took off the 2004-05 season so Christian could rest up an ankle injury and Alice could finally finish her university degree at the University of Edinburgh, then they came back with Torino 2006 as an incentive.

Alice comes from a very large, devout Roman Catholic family; she has one older brother and four sisters, one older, three younger. Her father died when she was just fifteen and due to the fact that she's moved around so much she isn't very close with anyone in her family besides her husband who has been her best friend for the past twelve years. He proposed in 2004 and they were married about a year later, in January of 2005. Alice is an outgoing, friendly sort who is also very stubborn. Now that she isn't skating competitively anymore, Alice coaches at the Oceanside Sports Complex, mostly working with younger skaters and offering help with choreography.
